Amalaki
The species (Phyllantus emblica L. syn. Emblica officinalis L.) - Amalaki in Sanskrit - is a plant native to India widely used in the Ayurveda discipline in which its fruit is considered the best of all acidic fruits and the most suitable to maintain an optimal state of health and well-being. Its antioxidant property makes this fruit very useful to counteract oxidative damage and help physiological organic defenses against free radicals. It is the basic ingredient of all Ayurvedic Rasayana (rejuvenating) products. It is an excellent tonic in states of slackness, fatigue, weakness and despondency. The fresh fruit of Phyllantus emblica has a concentration of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) equal to almost one tenth of its weight.
Ingredients : Amalaki is (Phyllantus emblica L.) fructus; Thickeners: corn starch, dicalcium phosphate; Anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
Recommended daily dose: 2 tablets twice a day.
